I chatted with Jaclyn as well. She is a great person and she really helps a lot in assisting learning spanish. It’s awesome how you initiated talking on the phone with her via Skpe right off the bat. That can be really hard to do and a little nerve-wracking! I can’t wait to hear your voice conversation with her! Great Job!

This is great that you want to travel to Barcelona! It seems like a really beautiful place to travel too! And that is so neat how your cousins lived there for 6 months and showed you pictures, so you already know a little bit about it I’m sure. You are doing a great job with your blog posts and inserting media into them! This video was great!

Rachel,
I think it is awesome that you want to travel to Spain and are so interested in learning about it. It’s great that you take what we are learning in class and relating it to your own interests. I think that if you continue to broaden your vocabulary and work really hard, you’ll be able to travel to Spain and speak Spanish to the citizens there. In fact, my friend is traveling to Spain on Wednesday after school and is very nervous about speaking to the people there because she does not speak any Spanish, she speaks French. Keep up the great work!

I am also very interested in learning about Spain! It’s great that you know people that lived there and maybe they can even help you with any questions that come up. Also, it is a smart thing to want to learn more about a specific place in Spain, and not the whole entire country. Good luck with this goal!

Rachel,
I talked to Jaclyn as well, so I wanted to see how yours went. I think that you had a pretty good conversation, but there a some things that you can work on to improve your next conversation. One of them is your pronunciation, and phrasing of words. A lot of the things that you said sounded like questions even if they weren’t. I also think that you should try to even out the speaking between you and Jaclyn a little more. Otherwise, you did a great job for your first conversation, and I’m sure you will be more comfortable and do better with you next!

Awesome job on your conversation! You really knew how to keep the conversation going! The only suggestion I would make is to try and get rid of some of the umm’s and uhhh’s. It is really difficult to do because we are so used to it, but I know you can do it! Keep up the great work!

Rachel! Great job talking to Jaclyn! I had the same problem, I wasn’t able to ask the person I was talking to about her culture. I wasn’t sure as well how to ask about her culture. Great job though!

I have been trying to keep up with going on Skype as well! I have also been trying to e-mail more teachers on ePals but my account won’t let me because it says I’m not a teacher! Oh well! Great job with your work Rachel and your song sounds great!
